Adularia

Varietyof Orthoclase

Adularia is transparent orthoclase feldspar, classically from the Adula Alps. As a variety of Orthoclase, it shares that species' composition (K(AlSi3O8)), crystal structure, and hardness; the distinction is the appearance defined above.
